Our Top 5 Blog Posts of 2019On February 12th, technology professionals joined forces for eWEEK’s 83rd monthly #eWEEKchat. The discussion focused on the topic of data orchestration and was moderated by eWEEK’s, Editor in Chief, Chris Preimesberger.
Guest hosts included: Chris Oshiro, Field CTO of AtScale; Eric Kavanaugh, CEO of The Bloor Group; Wally MacDermid, VP of Cloud for Scality; Dipti Borkar, VP of Products at Alluxio; Christopher Merz, Principal Technologist at NetApp; Alex Ma, Director of Solutions Engineering for Alluxio; and Sam Lakkundi, BMC VP of Product Management.

Q2: We have here today several reps from companies that offer data orchestration in a platform or application. Can each of you tell us what sets your edition apart from others in the market?
*Our Universal Semantic Layer governs complex business analytics and self-optimizes to better respond to the ask. Optimizing analytics only goes as far as the business use of the data. You must make hard analytics easy, fast and compute friendly.

Q4: Data orchestration of the sophisticated kind we have now is still relatively new. In your estimation, what should data orchestration be doing, or doing better, than it is now?
*Making data easy to use for the business analyst is a critical component to autonomous orchestration. AtScale learns and anticipates by data use. To get data use, you have to make it easy to use.
