Average tenure of a CISO is just 26 months due to high stress and burnout – February 12, 2020

A recent report by Nominet reveals that chief information security officers (CISOs or CSOs) across the industry are citing high levels of stress. According to the report, a survey of 800 CISOs and executives from companies in the US and UK shows that 88% of CISOs reported being “’moderately or tremendously stressed.’” Factors contributing to CISOs’ heightened stress levels include the inability to switch off, pressure from their boards, lack of work-life balance and more.

Cloud spending said to top $30B in Q4 as Amazon, Microsoft battle for market share – February 18, 2020

While Amazon Web Services (AWS) takes the number one spot, Miller writes that “Microsoft is growing at close to twice the rate as Amazon  — 62.3% versus Amazon’s 33.2%.” According to the article, Google trails as the number-three vendor.

Announcing Snowflake on Google Cloud Platform – February 19, 2020
